Free Download Manager
Slow Downloads?

Bandwidth is sometimes hard to come by, especially on shared connections. I've found and tested a program for Windows, aptly named "Free Download Manager." This program does a number of things, like allow you to download multiple files, including YouTube files, Torrents and other goodies. It also lets you pause and resume downloads and restart broken ones; no more lost connection frustration!

But the most important part is this program allows you to LIMIT your BANDWIDTH - free!

How to use it:

This file (FDM ver. 3.0 build 852) is about 6.4Mb and has the following system requirements:
Microsoft Windows 9x/ME/2000/2003/XP/Vista (32bit versions only). And I'm using it on Windows 7, even though they don't officially support it.

After you download and install the file from the manufacturer's site, you should take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with it. Please follow these important instructions.

1. In the Free Download Manager program, there is a "Download Modes Section" with three different modes available - Heavy, Medium and Light...

  • Light = 20, 15, 5, 48.8 KB/s restriction.
